Empowering Older People to Feel Empowered

We have received a small grant from the Small Grants Programme of The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation to support Bodster CIC in running an inter-generational sensory garden project.

Thank you so much to The Prince of Wales Charitable Fund

As a result during June and July and part of August we are running sessions on a Friday morning empowering older and younger adults to work together to develop our Sensory garden helping increase their confidence, decreasing feelings of isolation and learning gardening skills as part of a team.

We are going to run an “Information Gathering/ Open Morning” in September to celebrate the results of their hard work.

Details to follow.

Prince of Wales’s Community Fund Grant – preparation for the Open Day – Empowering Older learners project 2nd August 2019

The learners took photos of the plants in the Sensory Garden and laminated them and we plan to use the sticks to put into the ground to help people visiting identify the plants
